PHP (recursive acronym for "PHP Hypertext Preprocessor") is a widely-used Open Source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML .

Php was invented 1995 by Rasmus Lerdorf when he wrote a collection of Perl scripts, which he called PHP/FI (Personal Home Page / Forms Interpreter).

Later it was changed with C. language, and after Andi Gutman and Zeev Suraski rewrote in 1998 it was presented as PHP 3.0.

After that it became extremely populair, and was in 2004 installed on 50% of the worlds webservers.
